Victoria Nava will be the solo pianist at the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf!

On October 25th, our Victoria Nava will have the honor of performing at the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf with the Camerata Louis Spohr, conducted by Bernd Peter Fugelsang, featuring Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 7, for the event “LA MUSICA – Die Musik ist weiblich!” dedicated to women composers. In addition to Clara Schumann’s concerto, there will be compositions by Mathilde Kralik von Meyrswalden and Emilie Mayer, completing an all-female trilogy.

We are aware of how the Western musical canon has historically marginalized women, and this event serves as a platform to showcase beautiful music that has often been unjustly overlooked. Clara began composing this work at the tender age of 13 and completed it at 16 after several revisions. Her talent as both a pianist and composer is brilliantly showcased in this piece, which perfectly fits within the Romantic tradition.

We can only wish Victoria the best of luck for what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable event.
