With a packed hall and a warm and welcoming audience, the evening of August 20th at the Archconfraternity of the Most Holy Annunciation and the Most Holy Rosary was a resounding success. The two pianists, Marina Pellegrino and Aleandro Giuseppe Libano, attempted challenging works. Brahms’s famous Fourth Symphony was perfectly rendered on the piano, which made the lack of the orchestra’s instruments less felt thanks to the two performers’ distinctive timbre. Verdi’s Triumphal March helped unite the audience and musicians, creating a collective atmosphere of great celebration. The concert concluded with the melancholic notes of Dvořák’s Slavic Dance, Op. 72, No. 2.
“Tonight, the formidable union of two young pianists captivated the large audience in the hall. These two performers captivated an entire orchestra within the walls of the magnificent Archconfraternity of the Most Holy Annunciation and the Most Holy Rosary in Vietri sul Mare, playing Brahms’s imposing Fourth Symphony and the Act II scene from Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida.
Marina Pellegrino and Aleandro Giuseppe Libano, an irrepressible energy that filled the already packed Archconfraternity.
Thanks to the artists and, as always, thanks to everyone who participated!” (from the Facebook Page “Estate Classica“)
