
Viola Asoskova (b. 2003) is an active soloist, chamber musician, and Lied duo pianist. She is a highly expressive and musical artist with strong stage presence, known for her fresh and compelling interpretations.
She began piano studies at the age of six at the Tallinn Music High School and continued at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre under Prof. Peep Lassmann. In 2022/23, she studied at the the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar with Prof. Christian Wilm Müller through the Erasmus+ programme. She has participated in masterclasses with leading pianists such as Grigory Gruzman, Ewa Kupiec, and Anna Malikova.
Viola has performed at international venues and festivals including Piano City Milano, Carnegie Weill Recital Hall (New York), Bouffes du Nord (Paris), and Murray Edwards College (Cambridge). She was selected for Eesti Kontsert’s LIFT mentorship programme in 2024 and has toured widely across Europe, including with EMCY’s “Young Hearts of Music” and “Epoche f” projects.
A laureate of numerous international competitions across Europe, Asia, and the US, she received the EMCY Prize in 2019.
