
Aleandro Giuseppe Libano (Italy, 1995) is a versatile classical musician whose artistry has been praised by mentors and audiences alike. Pianist Angelo Arciglione described him as “a young pianist who has embarked on a brilliant career,” highlighting his regular performances in Italy and abroad. He has performed for important international musical associations and theaters, both as a soloist, with a repertoire ranging from the Baroque to the twentieth century, and as a member of a chamber music ensemble.
Joop Celis, his teacher at the Conservatorium Maastricht, remarked: “Aleandro shows a natural feeling for music, and he knows very well how to make a distinction between the different styles”.

He was selected to represent the “G. Martucci” Conservatory in Salerno in a series of recitals, most notably as harpsichord soloist in J. S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 during the “Rassegna di Musica Antica dei Concerti del Martucci” (2017).
In 2019, he performed Mozart’s Concerto K. 413 with the Artemus Ensemble of Pompeii (Italy) under the baton of Alfonso Todisco.
In 2021, he was invited to perform at the “L. Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence (Italy) for the event Grazie Maria Tipo! 90 anni di musica, celebrating the legendary Neapolitan pianist’s ninetieth birthday.
In 2023, he performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Vidin Sinfonietta conducted by Mattia Esposito (Bulgaria), and with the FVG Orchestra conducted by Paolo Paroni at the Auditorium Concordia in Pordenone (Italy).
He is a prizewinner in numerous national and international competitions, including “Leopoldo Mugnone” (Caserta, 2016), “Giuseppe Tricarico” (Gallipoli, 2018), “Luigi Denza” (Castellammare di Stabia, 2008), “Città di Mercato San Severino” (2016), “Città di Barcellona P.G.” (2021), “Terra di Severino – Città di Roccasecca” (2021), “Giuseppe Martucci” (Sapri, 2016), “Competition Music World” (Scafati, 2018), “Ariano in Musica” (Ariano Irpino, 2007), and the “Franco Di Franco” Prize (Positano, 2018, chamber music). In 2023, he was awarded the “Debussy Prize” at the “Emilia ed Elsa Gubitosi” International Competition.
Aleandro began studying piano at the age of ten. He holds three Master’s degrees in piano performance, two from the “G. Martucci” Conservatory in Salerno under Prof. Giulio De Luca (under the former and new national degree systems), both with highest honors and one from the Conservatorium Maastricht under Prof. Joop Celis. During his studies, he also received an Erasmus+ scholarship to study under Prof. Boguslaw Strobel at the Hochscule fur Musik “Robert Schumann” in Düsseldorf. Aleandro also holds a Master’s degree in Arts, Music and Performing Arts at Università degli Studi Roma Tre with highest honors, with a thesis titled Giacinto Scelsi – In Search of a New Musical Language, focused on the twentieth-century Italian composer.
In 2021, he received the “Willem Mengelberg” financial award from the Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam, and a full scholarship with the Hamlet Trio (Petra Heric – violin, Pelayo Cuéllar Sarmento – cello) to attend the European Summer Course for Chamber Music at the Orlando Festival (Netherlands), where he studied under Shunske Sato, Shuann Chai, Ellen Corver, Larissa Groeneveld, Peter Brunt, Henk Guittart, Michael Gees, and Elena Nemtsova.
He has participated in masterclasses taught by internationally renowned musicians including Bruno Canino, Sergio De Simone, Paolo Giacometti, Bernd Goetzke, Alexander Hintchev, Ewa Kupiec, Francesco Libetta, Andrea Lucchesini, Geoffrey Madge, Anna Malikova, Marian Mika, Janusz Olejniczak, Alessandro Taverna, Lev Vinokour, Mats Widlund, Pieter Wispelwey, Arkadi Zenziper, Frank Immo Zichner, and the Oberon Trio.
He also studied under Pasquale Iannone at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese and the Accademia del Ridotto as well as Angelo Arciglione at the Istituto di Studi Musicali “Vecchi-Tonelli” in Modena.
After passing the exam for tenured professorship, he was appointed professor at the “G. Martucci” Conservatory in Salerno. He had previously taught at the “Vecchi-Tonelli” Conservatory in Modena, the “E. R. Duni” Conservatory in Matera, and the “R. Franci” Conservatory in Siena.
He has also served as visiting professor at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Alcázar de San Juan (Spain, 2023) and the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Jacinto Guerrero de Toledo (Spain, 2025), as part of the Erasmus+ program.
Since 2025, he is a Co-Founder of the agency and record label ‘VerboSound Management’.
