We are very happy to share with you such an enthusiastic review of Keith Goodman‘s last concert:
“On a rainy Neapolitan evening, in the intimate atmosphere of the Lutheran Church, the concert organized by Massimiliano Cerrito, president of the Neapolitan Baroque Festival (Artistic Director Keith Goodman), placed a rare protagonist at the center of the performance: the violoncello da spalla, an instrument popular between the 17th and 18th centuries for its versatility, capable of combining bass, accompaniment, and solo writing.
In this context, the program—modified due to the indisposition of soprano Paola Francesca Natale—found a new balance, reshaping the path toward a more intimate and intimate dimension. Cerrito emphasized the broader meaning of the project: to rediscover the Neapolitan repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, from classical music to song to the Romantic tradition”.
