Antonio Scandurra

A versatile and passionate artist, Maestro Antonio Scandurra combines the refined touch of a pianist with the commanding presence of an orchestral conductor. He graduated with top honors in Piano Performance from the “A. Corelli” Conservatory in Messina under Maestro Gaetano Indaco, and attended masterclasses with internationally acclaimed pianists such as Michele Campanella, Alexander Hintchev, Roberto Cappello, Pierluigi Camicia and Francesco Libetta.

His career includes collaborations with the Conservatory Symphony Orchestra in Pictures at an Exhibition (2018), and the performance of Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle (2021) under Maestro Michele Amoroso. He studied conducting with Maestro Orazio Baronello, continued with Maestro Bruno Cinquegrani, and is currently perfecting his skills with Maestro Francesco Ommassini.

Since 2022, he has been Artistic Director of the “Città di Spadafora” Wind Band, leading projects of high artistic value with soloists from major institutions such as the RAI Symphony Orchestra, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and the Verona Arena.

On August 3, 2025, he made his opera conducting debut with Cavalleria Rusticana, featuring soprano Felicia Bongiovanni, and appeared as guest conductor at the San Benedetto Opera Festival.

On Novmeber 18, 2025, he made his debut at Teatro Vittorio Emanuele, conducting Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto.

In the same year, he founded and became Music Director of Orchestra Numero Zero, an ensemble dedicated to blending tradition with innovation in the orchestral repertoire.
