Cosimo Linoci

Cosimo Linoci graduated in 2003 from the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “O. Vecchi – A. Tonelli” under the guidance of C. Giuffredi.
At the same institution, he earned his second-level academic diploma in clarinet with full marks and honors (110/110 cum laude).
He furthered his chamber music studies with P. Maurizzi at the “A. Boito” Conservatory in Parma, where, in 2016, he obtained a second-level academic diploma in chamber music with top marks.
In 2018, he received a second-level academic master’s degree in clarinet from the “Bruno Maderna” Conservatory in Cesena, graduating with full marks.

He has studied with F. Meloni, L. Combs, S. Kam, and C. Palermo, and for chamber music with the “Trio di Parma,” P. Maurizzi, and M. Polidori.
He has won several competitions, including the International Competition “Città di Pesaro,” the International Clarinet Competition “R. Viani,” and the International Competition “Città di Carlino.”
He has received various performance qualifications, including with the orchestra of the “Teatro alla Scala.” He has collaborated with several orchestras, including the “Teatro Regio” Orchestra of Parma and the “Arturo Toscanini” Philharmonic Orchestra.

He is actively involved with numerous ensembles and chamber groups, performing in prominent festivals and venues (Festival delle Nazioni, Bologna Festival, Fondazione Vedova, Teatro Comunale di Modena, etc.). His performances have been broadcast on Rai Radio3, Radio Toscana Classica, and Rai5.

Specializing in 20th-century and contemporary music, he recorded the album Très libre for the label Movimento Classical, dedicated to the repertoire for solo clarinet.

Since 2006, he has been a contract clarinet instructor at the “O. Vecchi – A. Tonelli” Conservatory in Modena.
He has also taught clarinet at the “F. A. Bonporti” Conservatory in Trento and has led several masterclasses across Italy.
