Ramona Elena Munteanu

Ramona Elena Munteanu is a Romanian-born and Venice-based concert pianist, distinguished by a deep dedication to musical artistry over commercialism, as noted by world-renowned musician Andrei Gavrilov. Her career is built upon a comprehensive educational foundation, including degrees from the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music and the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory, supplemented by studies with masters like Gavrilov, Rattalino, Zadra, and others. She has received two scholarships to participate in summer courses at the Brevard Music Center, North Carolina, USA. 

Ramona has an extensive and successful international performance career, marked by numerous awards in prestigious competitions. At the age of 9, she made his debut as a solo pianist in Romania with the orchestra of the Cluj-Napoca Music Lyceum. During her career, she constantly performed in numerous concerts and festivals in Germany, Italy, Romania, the USA, Spain, and Portugal. She has also played with the orchestra of the Teatro la Fenice. Her performance repertoire is exceptionally broad, spanning from classicism to contemporary music, and she frequently collaborates on premieres of works by living composers, as a solo pianist and chamber musician. 

She is currently engaged in a significant recording and musicological project focused on the life and work of Carl Filtsch, a forgotten protégé of Chopin, which was presented for the first time at Cremona Musica 2023. In addition to her performance work, she is an experienced piano teacher with a record of student success and has taught in the Conservatories of Padua and Udine. She has held professional roles in communication for the Cremona Musica organization. Ramona is an artist in continuous search for her inner world and the music she interprets, expanding repertoires and horizons, trying to find new balances in music and in life, offering beauty, harmony, and light.
