Simone Lanzi

Simone Lanzi, born in ’93 in Trieste, starts to play the double bass in 2012.   In 2013 he starts the Jazz Bachelor Conservatory with M° Maier and in the 2016  he also starts the Classical Bachelor Conservatory with M° Sciascia. In 2018 he  finishes the Jazz Bachelor with 104 on 110 and in 2022 he finishes the Classical  Bachelor with 109 on 110. 

He has collaborated with the following projects: Brazos – Black Suit Trio,  Orchestra Laboratorio 3.0, Emanuele Grafitti Trio, Eastern Border Ensemble,  TILT, Tsikarim, and others. 

He has recorded: Brazos-Black Suit Trio EP 1 and 2; Mingus’ Grooves; Edgar  Meis; Eastern Border Ensemble; TILT; Misa A Buenos Aires-M. Palmeri; Emanuel  Grafitti Trio. 

Having ranged from Greek and Turkish music to jazz and classical music, over  the past two years he has focused solely on jazz in all its forms, seeking his own  improvisational language. This language finds its full expression in his latest  project, Simone Lanzi 4et – Il Sogno di Leandro, an album of his own original  music recorded last December in Trieste and due for release in the coming  months.
